Our Third Party Delivery Strategy at Dog Haus is Changing

So far this year we spent $3.35M marketing our restaurants on the delivery apps, about 17¢ of every sales dollar. Meanwhile, Haus Rewards brought in more than $5M in member sales at about 4¢ per dollar, with no commissions and the guest’s data on every order.

These two sales funnels, fueled by what we’re learned so far in 2026, when working unified across our entire system, set-up the foundation for our new Haus Rewards & Third Party Delivery playbook. The apps win the first order, Haus Rewards keeps the guest, and corporate runs it all with one plan at the investment level you choose.

Marketing Spend on 3PD Delivery Increased 65% in 2026

As of October, we ran more than 1,500 delivery promotions across our restaurants. Most were set up one restaurant at a time, with no shared plan, and too often guests who would have ordered anyway were targeted with ads and discounts.

3PD Year to Date: $3.35M spent on marketing = $19.8M in delivery sales.

  • BOGO was the default promotion, accounting for 59% of total spend.

  • More than half of the campaigns had no budget cap.

  • Full-price orders fell 27% between Q1 and Q3.

  • Delivery sales growth came from discounts, not new guests.

Haus Rewards Captures Loyal Customers at Lower Cost

None of the $5M our Haus Rewards members spent in our restaurants this year cost the restaurant any commission. Every order came with the guest’s data, and every dollar cost a fraction of what we spent on the delivery apps.

Haus Rewards Year to Date: $207K in rewards = $5.1M in member sales.

  • Haus members placed more than 168,000 orders, about half online and half in-store.

  • The $5 welcome offer was our most-used reward, redeemed more than 20,000 times.

  • Only 1 in 4 Haus Rewards orders used a reward.

Starting now, corporate takes over delivery marketing with one playbook built on what actually worked in 2026. You choose the marketing spend— Essential, Standard, or Growth — and we run the rest. Each level comes with a set of offers on DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub.
